For each of the University of Miami’s campuses, the Annual Security Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University of Miami; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those on sexual assault and other matters.

For each of the University of Miami’s campuses, the Annual Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported fires, false alarms, and unwanted alarms in the academic buildings, student residences, and fraternities. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus fire safety, covering areas such as on-campus student housing fire safety systems, portable electrical appliances, smoking, open flames in student housing, and other matters.
