A University of Miami Medical Campus “Crime Advisory” is a report/ notice issued to the campus community regarding a crime that is considered by the institution to represent a serious or continuing threat to students and employees. It may be distributed through email, posted on this or other webpages, or distributed through other means deemed appropriate. The intent is to inform the community to aid in the prevention of similar crimes.
Public Safety Department Policy E-016 (Timely Warning) governs Medical Campus Crime Advisory issuance. This policy is restricted-access. However, a summarizing policy statement is contained within the University’s ‘Safety Matters’ annual security report as required by law.
Current Medical Campus Crime Advisories:
On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, the below subject, Wilvince Bazil was stopped at Jackson Memorial Hospital West Main Lobby and issued a trespass warning by City of Miami and Miami-Dade Police officers. Wilvince Bazil is a 31 year old black male who is approximately 6’ 7” tall and 210 pounds.
This individual is not a University of Miami physician or student. He has no legitimate business on campus.
